Angel Alanis (aka A-squared, Subsonic) is one of today's most diverse and consistent producers of dance music to come out of Chicago. With an uninterrupted flow of releases since 1997, he has unleashed explosive tracks ranging from funky disco workouts to tribal house, through the depths of hard-house and minimal techno. Angel's distinct production style has given him the opportunity to collaborate with and re-mix for artists such as Sinead O'Connor, Kool Moe Dee, Julia Fordman, DJ Dan, Robbie Rivera, and a re-mix for Joey Negro which occupied the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 20. During the mid '90s, Angel participated in the promotion company Mushgroove, helping throw and promote techno parties. It provided him with valuable experience as he learned the business side of dance music and planted deep roots in Chicago's underground scene. Developing a strong and unshakeable interest in music production, Angel set out to create a sound of his own. After releasing his debut EP 'Advanced Therapy' (1997) via Contact Records, Angel caught the attention of Bad Boy Bill's infamous label group, Mix Connection Multimedia (MCM). Angel delivered his next track 'Reverse Polarities' (1997) which launched the MCM label Contaminated Records. Soon Angel was officially signed to MCM and went on to release numerous classic tracks through Contaminated, International House Records (IHR), and Moody. In 1999, Angel delivered his full-length debut album The Subconscious State of Techno which received outstanding reviews from publications like URB, BPM, and MIXMAG, as well as critical acclaim from artists like Armand van Helden, Judge Jules, and Laidback Luke. In 2001, Angel formed his independent label, A-Squared Muzik, and released his underground hit 'Do You Like the Way You Feel When You Shake'. It was featured on numerous compilations world-wide, including Darren Emerson's 'Global Underground: Live in Singapore,' Charles Feelgood's 'DJ Mixed,' Christian Smith's 'tronic Treatment', and DJ Dan's 'In Stereo.' With A-Squared Muzik's tech-house and tribal sound, Angel needed an outlet for other styles of music that he wanted to release. He started two new labels, A Trax and Subject Unknown. Bringing back the Chicago sound he is known for, the first release on A Trax, 'Funkin Dance' is bumpin' funky Chicago house featuring three mixes (house, techno, hard house) making it incredibly DJ friendly. Subject Unknown brings out a darker, more experimental sound that we can look forward to hearing in the near future. 2004 is proving to be a plentiful year for Angel. While securing a spot on BPM Magazine's Top 100 DJ List, producing DJ Colette's Dancestar Award winning song 'Feelin' Hypnotized' for use in a Motorola commercial, releasing brand new tracks on DJ Dan's In Stereo, Donald Glaude's Eden, as well as the funky floor filler 'InternASStional' on his own label A-Squared, Angel is spending most of his time in the studio working on his full length artist album under the name Magic Elephant Orchestra. The album includes a full range of musical styles from harder edged industrial rock to light melodic electronica. This year Angel is sure to unleash more new sounds that will surprise and delight his fans.

The only house DJ in the Midnightsons, Melo bring energy, style, and incredible funk to the table, Bangin out the beats in every set.
2rip began his job of party promoter in 1998 when hosting parties under the 40th Street Bridge in Pittsburgh, PA. He eventually rose to status of Pittsburgh's #1 up & coming talent, determined by the 2002 lolli.org user poll which included 300 dj's spanning from Cleveland to Philly and votes from over 500 users. Since then he has played at venues across the country including the famous "Icehouse" in Arizona as well as widely known clubs Metropolis's Spundae, Nation, Glow @ FUR, and Groove @ Laga. Currently 2rip pushes a wide variety of sounds out of a combination of different genres, making him one of DC's most versatile dj's. To simply describe his style you may say it is funky and acid-laden with an incorporation of quick mixing maneuvers and fader tricks.
